Fundamental Writes was created in 2001 as its founder, Elizabeth Owen, began transitioning from Corporate America into her own business. The goal of the company then -- and still today -- is to help companies, families, and individuals create documents which are fundamental to their own success.  The main focus of Fundamental Writes is emergency planning for corporations and households.  Fundamental Writes' emergency planning methodology focuses on those who have no expertise in emergency planning, no time to write a plan, no "extra" money to subsidize one, and, in general, have gone through life hoping a disaster won't happen to them.

The selection of the company name, Fundamental Writes, was made to reflect the company's focus and concentration on documents you need.  And, there is a definite purpose, risk, and value associated with having these documents.
